28 Pictures That Will Make You Want to Visit Barbados
I have to admit; I was a bit worried when booked my first trip to Barbados. It was actually very spontaneous, like most trips I do. I had friends over in my Tiki Bar, serving some Cocktails and was moaning about the fact, that I’d like to visit Hawaii for the Christmas vacation, but the flight was just too long for only one week.
I have been to Hawaii a few times and call this my absolute paradise. Would I really like the Caribbean? After all, it’s only an 8.5 hours flight from London and not 17+ hours trip? But I guess, after this post, you will see that Barbados proofed me wrong. And it’s good to have a second little paradise, that is a tiny little bit nearer from home.
But as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so let me share some reasons, why I so much fell in love with Barbados and believe, so will you.

AND THE BEST TO THE END – Sunsets
I’m still very thankful for this friend, convincing me after a few cocktails, to spontaneously book a flight to Barbados. It’s was absolutely beautiful, and I hope I can return and see more of the island very soon.
I arrived at this magical place in the Caribbean with Virgin Atlantic from London Gatwick, and it was only an 8.5 hours flight. I was staying at the beautiful Cobblers Cove Hotel on the West Coast of the Island.
I could easily spend all week only at the Hotel as it was one of the prettiest property I have ever been to and the staff was very friendly and pampered us all day. Oh, and they make on of the best Caribbean Rum Punch.
But I also discovered the Island by car and visited the Mount Gay Visitor Centre, what is a great half day trip from the Hotel. The Island of Barbados is quite small, with only 431 km², but there is still a lot to do and see.
