SKINNY STRAWBERRY Daiquiri
One of my favourite drinks must be the daiquiri, especially in the version of the Hemingway daiquiri. But when the temperature rise and the local farmers market offer all these fresh fruits and berries I love to mix cocktails with an extra vitamin kick.
But I found fruit flavoured daiquiri to be very sweet and not very summer beach body friendly, so I was looking around for a great recipe of a skinny version. Unfortunately, most skinny versions are made with artificial sweeteners, what I’m not a fan of.
So I experimented a bit around with honey. Raw honey is still basically sugar, and full of fruit sugar that we should try to avoid in large quantities, but raw honey is also packed with essential enzymes, minerals, vitamins and is even linked to weight loss. So, what would be a better fit for a skinny drink, right?
Raw Honey is a healing food, and we are doing good to add a few spoons to our daily diet. And if we can do this in a daiquiri, even better, Am I right? Together with the lime juice and strawberry you even covered your vitamin c needs for the day, win-win!
