MARRIED MY BEST FRIEND IN LAS VEGAS
Hello, I’m Mia Fox, founder and CMO (Chief Mai Tai Officer) at Jetlag on the Rocks. A lifestyle blog focused on bringing home some vacation feeling and happiness.
I always loved to travel, one vacation at a time. Mainly because I never really liked how small my home country (Switzerland) was. But there was a time when aerophobia stopped me from boarding planes for almost ten years. Overcoming my fear of flying has been one of my greatest achievement. Thank you, onboard champagne service!
Many years later and after living in 4 different countries, I still get itchy feet.
When I’m not on the road, checking out Instagram worthy places with my camera or new cocktail bars & stylish boutique hotels, you will most likely find me in my home tiki bar, trying out cocktails for my recipes section.
I love getting inspired when on the road and then try out my findings, new drinks and home decor ideas, when back home. Just after unpacking my suitcase, my home becomes my castle.
Besides loving the boozy stuff, I also have a great passion for interior design and styling my home bar & tiki room has become an ongoing project. I believe that everyone should have a little bar at home, just for the joy.
Oh, and sometimes I even write about food. But I have to admit, I spend way too much time on Instagram, and not enough in the kitchen. That’s why I have a hubby that cooks.
So who is that hubby that cooks all the delicious food for Jetlag on the Rocks?
Tom or how I love to call him, Mr Fox, is my best friend and one day I even decided to marry him on a trip to Vegas.
There was a time that he could barely cook a plate of pasta, and it was not even that long time ago. Working in a busy Sales Manager position in one of the largest software companies, he is also very far away from being a professional chef or a stay-at-home husband.
But while I got very busy with this blog, he realised quickly, if he does not start to cook himself he will probably die an excruciating death from hunger. So that’s when he began to learn cooking from scratch.
Watching cooking videos on youtube, to balance out his stressful sales job, helped him to get inspired and he started to cook fantastic food in our kitchen…
So let me show you, how I make every day a vacation & join me for a Mai Tai, or two…
